Wee Tam and The Big Huge 15 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I've noticed on the Incredible String Band Spirits 9cd box set, that as well as the official single release of Wee Tam and also The Big Huge. there is a further cd cover included of the original double lp release, (it's the one with the lyrics and illuminated lettering on a white background). What is this does anyone know? Is it as i'm guessing a spare cover to house the 2 cds included in the set? I've just read through the above, hope it makes sense!

It´s a Promo Cover released by Disk Union. Is not to hold nothing, only a promo item.

Sometimes when an album has been released with different covers in any place or specially in Japan DU or the maker includes these covers, always as promo items or give aways.

Some of these covers were released for: Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Traffic, Laura Nyro (3, 2 from Sony and 1 from DU), Uriah Heep (3), Springsteen, Atomic Rooster,...

Thank you. It's what I thought. Now, do these ever come up for sale seperately from the box? I'm after the item Wee Tam and the Big Huge

Not for sale. Your only option was to buy the complete boxset from DU or one of their usual resellers at ebay at release time receiving it for free, the same than the box - Disk Union only sells the CDs and the promo boxes, obis or sleeves are a free give away for the people that buys the complete release. Now is a hard to get item, your only chance is ebay.

Quicksilverlove store will be probably your best option to get it.

Front cover (main) image of Caroline-2008 : Various Artists : Caroline Records 2009 US Releases
Caroline-2008 : 2008-08-05

In late 2008 Caroline Records in the USA released a number of albums by the following artists: UFO, Jethro Tull, Quicksilver Messenger, Brian Eno, Roxy Music, The Raspberries, Kate Bush, Blondie, The Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Van Der Graaf Generator (full list below).

Unlike the suspect Universal releases these are 100% Japanese. The only difference between these and the Japanese (apart from being as much as 50% cheaper) is a sticker on the bar code of the obi.

As at March 2009 most of these are still available at Amazon.
