Japanese Paper Sleeve Exploration Party |
Words fail me on this one - because I cannot read Japanese. Being Japanese based you're likely to see the latest - hot off the presses - images of releases. |
Japanese Paper Sleeve Wiki |
Japanese Wiki containing most(?) releases made on mini LP in Japan (thanks to Chris V for pointing this one out). |
Collectorshelp Record and CD Grading System |
A fairly straightforward out and simple system originally for vinyl releases but easily adapted and applicable for replicas. There is one notable point in this site's grading system that I disagree with. They state that "the [jewel] boxes are not graded as they can be replaced". There are certain CD cases (eg. green Ryko, plastic cases around the old style Rolling Stones replicas) that are near impossible to replace. |
Collectorshelp Glossary of Record and CD Collecting Terms |
An extensive glossary of terms used when describing CDs, vinyl, packaging, grading, technology etc. Definitions ranging from 12" to Zine. |

VC 04-17 : 2002-01-01 Russian mini LP of the 1967 album from the Fab Four. Nice reproduction including a full black CD replica of the original vinyl disc. |
LIST-007 : 2006-02-07 This is a work in progress project and due to its size it will take some time to finish. Book cover images from different countries are welcome (or the ones included but with better image resolution). |

POCP-9194 to POCP-9208 & 9212/3 : 1999-09-29 The first edition of the first series of mini LPs for the Who (target obis) came with inserts that were pre-punched. A binder and T-Shirt accompanied the release. It is not clear how these were obtained but it seems likely that the small yellow coupon on the obi would have been snipped off and the folder at least was awarded on surrendering the full set of coupons. |
BVCM-37083 : 2000-01-08 This is the eponymous first album from Elvis Presley. It is the first rock & roll album to reach number one on the national charts (holding at number 1 for 20 weeks) and the first million dollar selling pop album. |
|
SONY-BECK : 2005-02-23 This unique and beautiful clam-shell style promo box contains ten Jeff Beck mini lp cds and has room to fit two more mini LPs. When flipped open, the inside of the box resembles a guitar amplifier. |
VICP-63335 : 2006-02-22 English language version of the earlier native Italian "L'Isola di niente" on ELP's Manticore label. As with the earlier English rehash of PFM's "Per un amico" the lyrics were for the most part re-written (not translated) by Pete Sinfield of King Crimson. |
