Korean Mini LP releases 14 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Any of you ever bought a Korean mini LP ? They look pretty good on the web - but how about the quality of printing and the sound ? I don't know the quality standards. The prices are pretty good and they have stuff that is hard to get sometimes.

Yes, I have some not released at Japan, like Lookaftering from Bashti Bunyan. And the first 14 released by Universal (blue and white obi) of classic albums: Hendrix, Elton John, Rolling S, Police, Cream, Dreke & D, Marley, Clapton, S. Wonder. These are nice but not as good quality of the same albums released in Japan.

I have bought some too and they are fine. I can't really comment on the sound - although I do have Goodbye Yellow Brick Road so I should so a comparison (I plan to create a photo page with all the versions I know of including "official fake", Koyean, Russian (real fake), Japanese, SHM, another?). I'll have a closer look at covers when I do that (sigh - if only I had the time). Sam.

I've just received this mini LP from Korea : The Shiver - Walpurgis. I must say that the item is quite well made : gatefold, textured cover, 2 sided poster and of course the disc itself, silkscreened and all. Very nice presentation and the sound is just great as well.

The first edition of the first series of mini LPs for the Who (target obis) came with inserts that were pre-punched. A binder and T-Shirt accompanied the release. It is not clear how these were obtained but it seems likely that the small yellow coupon on the obi would have been snipped off and the folder at least was awarded on surrendering the full set of coupons.
