Bruce Springsteen 2005 Japanese mini-LP's 14 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 1
I've recently bought several of the 2005 Springsteen Japanese mini-LP's (from reliable Japanese sources) and noticed that a few of the CD's don't come with the silver and black sticker on the reselable outer sleeve and a coupon. I understand that it was a promo sticker to obtain a box to house the 17-CD issue.

Does anyone know if the CD's that came without the sticker (and the coupon)are from a later pressing, or whether it's a manufacturing mistake? (I'm referring specifcally to "Tunnel of Love", "Greatest Hits" and "The Rising".

There was a reprint in 2008 for serveral Springsteen tittles. You can check the albums included in that reprint in the Born in The USA boxset:

A reprint is exactly as the original release, don´t change obis or dates. Is like to extend the original release and Sony CBS has done it many in 2008. We as collectors hate the reprints because change the value of what we already have.

Anyway, a promo sticker like that can be removed, not itself but the whole reseleable bag, for many reasons. If they are from a trusted japanese source I don´t will care about it.

VICP-5442,3,4 : 1994-09-21

The first three Emerson Lake and Palmer albums (self titled, Tarkus and Pictures at an Exhibition) are arguably the first true Rock Mini LPs. They were released on 21st September 1994.

These had been preceded by a much earlier Lotus and a US release of some Rolling Stones albums repackaged for Japan a few short months before these. Neither of these earlier releases was true to the original vinyl although the Stones came close.

The earliest true Minis were two series of MCA Jazz releases from March 1994 (MVCZ-26 to MVCZ-45) including this example: Death and The Flower.

Rare Italian Progressive rock album from the Trident label.

Images for this release show two different types of obis for original (sticker) and reprints (paper) of this release.

Here is a comparison between a genuine official copy of Aerosmith Pump made by Universal and a Russian counterfeit copy. In the picture, the real one is on the left and the fake is on the right.

DU-SP146.2 : 2007-03-07

This box was issued by Disk Union as part of the 3rd of their 3 box releases in the early 2007. You did not need to buy boxes one (Ziggy Stardust Box and Promo Obis) or two (Low Box and Promo Obis) in order to receive the Space Oddity Box. It came with Let's Dance Box and Promo Obis.
