Bob Marley & The Wailers Exodus (PHCR-94706) 16 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Does anyone know anything about the Bob Marley & The Wailers Exodus release (PHCR-94706)? I have a copy of this without OBI. I am curious if I have the real deal. On the spine of the gatefold cover it gives the artist name and album title along, the product code shown above and shows the name of the record label Island. On the back it has the Tuff Gong logo. The CD is a plain silver with black print and includes the Tuff Gong logo, the Island logo and the statement "Distributed in Japan By Polygram". The insert is in Japanese and English and there isn't any information (I can read) that indicates release date or any other data.

Is this the real deal?

I am also interested in selling this copy if anyone is interested.

I´m at the beach so I can´t check it but what for sure I can say to you is that your copy without OBI hardly will sell at 1/3 (1/2 if you are lucky) of the original retail value. Without OBI is a nice CD but nothing more for a collector.

Sorry to let you know this.

Front cover (main) image of Caroline-2008 : Various Artists : Caroline Records 2009 US Releases

Unlike the suspect Universal releases these are 100% Japanese. The only difference between these and the Japanese (apart from being as much as 50% cheaper) is a sticker on the bar code of the obi.

As at March 2009 most of these are still available at Amazon.
