King, Carole - Tapestry

ESCA-7602 (1995)

Carole King's famous 1971 release included "I Feel the Earth Move", "You've Got a Friend" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman".

Apparently the name of the cat is "Telemachus" (according to a fan's comment made here).

Tapestry Hand-stiched by: Carole King / Art Direction: Roland Young / Design: Chuck Beeson / Photgraphy: Jim McCrary

[It is not clear to me if the original release of this album (Ode SP 77009) was a single or gatefold sleeve. As always it may have varied depending on location. In 1977 the album was re-released as Ode FE/PE 34946. This re-release was definitely a gatefold. There are also gatefold releases of 77009 but I'm not sure if these were original as there have been more recent releases with this number in a gatefold version. It's odd that the back cover of the mini LP states "Tapestry Hand-stitched by: Carole King" given that this is found on the inside of the gatefold. Sam2095]

Appears that this originally came in a hard outer plastic collar sleeve similar to earliest ELP releases.
