Julian Cope´s Top 50 japanese rock albums picks as listed in his book "Japrocksampler", How the post-war japanese blew their minds on rock ´n´ roll. (Work in progress, this is a project only by now, be patient)
this helped, I bought about 20 Japan mini-LPs in Tokyo recently, lots of rock on this list and jazz, although two of his biggest disses (A Path Through Haze and Akira Ishikawa - Spectrum) are just about the 2 best, and one of his best Uganda absolutely sucks...never trust an acid-head!
Is not easy to know what japanese albums from this list are also in paper sleeve format. Your help will be great to maintain this list as complete as possible, so if you know about some others of the albums in the list that are in mini lp format, please sent me an internal personal message.
