One way to tell whether a CD was pressed in Japan is to check the IFPI / SID number engraved close to center hole of the CD.

First, check these 2 websites about how SID codes are assigned to CD manufacturers:
http://thenationalcollector.jimdo.com/about-ifpi-codes
http://www.ifpi.org/content/library/sid-code-implementation-guide.pdf

For example, Sony Japan codes start with 45xx, JVC Victor with 40xx, Toshiba EMI with 28xx, etc. (you can download one of the many IFPI code databases from

http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~griffin/sidcodes3.zip
)

Most CD's manufactured after 1994 have these IFPI codes.

Universal Music : Cardboard sleeve (mini LP) reissue from Mike Oldfield featuring the high-fidelity SHM-CD format (compatible with standard CD players) and using the remaster audio made in UK in 2012. The cardboard sleeve faithfully replicates the UK first press LP plus a cardboard sleeve jacket based on a new design. Comes with a description written by Mike Oldfield himself and lyrics. Front cover (main) image of BVCM-37083 : Presley, Elvis : Elvis Presley
BVCM-37083 : 2000-01-08

Front cover (main) image of POCP-9194 to POCP-9208 & 9212/3 : Who (The) : POCP Target Obi Series
POCP-9194 to POCP-9208 & 9212/3 : 1999-09-29
The first edition of the first series of mini LPs for the Who (target obis) came with inserts that were pre-punched. A binder and T-Shirt accompanied the release. It is not clear how these were obtained but it seems likely that the small yellow coupon on the obi would have been snipped off and the folder at least was awarded on surrendering the full set of coupons.
