Can I sell my fake Led Zep box on eBay? 13 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 2
A member of this site (own up to it if you want to ) sent me this message the other day...

QUOTE:
Over the last couple of week i have received the Led Zeppelin - 40th Anniversary Definitive Collection SHM-CD box set arrive, only to discover from your website that it is fake! Could you shed any further light on this issue or steer me towards someone who would know about this? I have decided not to return the item back to the seller (lesson learned perhaps, more research!). My questions though do i have a Led Zeppelin Product or not, Chinese version. Could i still put this on Ebay indicating this was a Chinese edition? Plus how could i find out more about the product that i own, is it even Remastered? Your help or general direction would be useful.

You should probably ask Warners this and I suspect the answer will be "It's a fake"

Officially no but I'm pretty sure you would get away with it. It would be good form to say it is the "unofficial Chinese version". I don't sell any of the fakes I've got (for fear of compromising my reputation).

It's probably a direct digital copy of the SHM version.

Over the years a number of promotional boxes have been released for "The Who". These have included "Manufacturer", "Disk Union" and "Indeterminate Origin".

Here is a selection...

Front cover (main) image of ARC-7003 : Semiramis : Dedicato a Frazz
ARC-7003 : 2002-03-27

Rare Italian Progressive rock album from the Trident label.

Images for this release show two different types of obis for original (sticker) and reprints (paper) of this release.

Front cover (main) image of UICY-93013-38 : Rolling Stones (The) : In the 60's
UICY-93013-38 : 2006-03-16

2006 (reprinted at least once) release of Stones albums from the earliest days up to 1975. Does not include the early 70s releases.

Each album included a collector card. The backs of the cards, when laid side by side, formed the cover image of "Their Satanic Majesties Request".

Front cover (main) image of LIST-007 : Quintessence Editions : 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die
LIST-007 : 2006-02-07

This is a work in progress project and due to its size it will take some time to finish.

Book cover images from different countries are welcome (or the ones included but with better image resolution).
